The wine list that you are about to read has been designed and thought not only to compliment the menu of our chef, but also introduce a different point of view and give a better understanding which will gain your appreciation of wine.
The fact that you are reading the wine list is because hopefully you are looking for a new experience, which is exactly where Auge wants to take you, or maybe because, like me; you believe that there is more beyond a simple glass of wine. Passion, human sense, history, lands, hard work, nature, mysteries and patience, are all assembled together, making the wine unique and memorable.
The Italian wine has lots of reputation all around the world for his unique style and for the impressive amount of different grape varietals. An old concept of wine making, that still today is guide line for many international winemakers, that’s why it is worth trying for. So prepare your palate to taste something that has more than 3000 years of history, smell the unique cold and warm aromas and taste the fragrance of the Mediterranean climate.
In Australia the wine industry is seriously developed even if it has a young history, however winemakers’ talent have brought Australian wine on the restaurant’s wine list all around the world and attract the attention of wine appreciator.
South Australia probably is the State of the exceptional full body wine but this wine list will give you always an excellent alternative. I tried to put as much information as possible, taking you through the region and wine region of Italy and Australia where soil and climate are fundamental. Also, with the knowledge and the capability of the human being, what that you find in a bottle is man’s ability to capture natural elements and turn them irreplaceable for god’s desire and human needs. The wine list will start from sparkling wine, method Charmat and Champenoise, then white wine between young and mature, rose’ wines, red wine to finish with sweet wine, spirit and digestive.
